Shipping, Authenticity & Returns

For over 80 years, Longoni has represented Italian excellence in billiards. Founded in Mariano Comense, near Milan, Longoni is a family-owned company known worldwide for precision, craftsmanship, design, and reliability. Longoni cues are still produced entirely in Italy under the supervision of the Longoni family and are trusted by many top international players.

The Longoni Ginevra XV brings back one of the oldest and most recognizable models in the Longoni collection. Originally introduced in the 1980s, the Ginevra returns in its XV edition, preserving its timeless character while incorporating modern Longoni technology.

The forearm is crafted from rosewood, while the handgrip features distinctive zebrano wood. Decorative rings made from purpleheart (Amaranto) and pure white maple create an elegant contrast and highlight the traditional character of this classic Italian carom cue.

The Ginevra XV features Longoni's advanced HEXA-CORE technology, the latest evolution in the construction of Longoni cue butts. HEXA-CORE combines two established Longoni construction concepts: the quiet characteristics of the X-CORE metal system and the harmonious response of the XYLOCORE system. This technology is used primarily in Longoni pool and carom cues.

At the heart of the HEXA-CORE system is a precision component that joins the two sections of the butt. Each component is individually manufactured from Ergal aluminum using CNC machining and incorporates specially designed grooves that help calibrate elasticity. The component is secured both mechanically and chemically, providing a highly precise connection between the sections of the butt.

Compared with more traditional construction methods, HEXA-CORE allows for more precise installation and is designed to provide excellent structural stability and long-term durability, helping preserve the cue's playing characteristics over time.

The butt is also 3-Lobite capable, meaning it is designed for compatibility with Longoni's 3-Lobite system. The 3-Lobite adapter is not installed or included.

Longoni E71 Eiffel Shaft

This complete cue is supplied with the Longoni E71 wooden carom shaft, featuring Longoni's highly popular Eiffel 71 profile and designed specifically for 3-cushion carom billiards.

The E71 measures 70.5 cm in length and weighs approximately 125–130 g. Its 22 mm joint diameter matches the Ginevra XV butt, creating a balanced traditional carom configuration.

The distinctive Eiffel profile combines a conical section closer to the joint with an Eiffel-profile section toward the front of the shaft. This profile has become one of Longoni's most popular carom shaft configurations, offering the combination of stability, responsiveness, and feel sought by 3-cushion players.

The shaft is fitted with a 12 mm Da Vinci Medium cue tip and a compact 7 mm ferrule. The medium tip provides a balanced combination of control, feedback, and responsiveness for precise cueball contact and spin control.

Longoni carefully selects and processes the woods used for its traditional shafts. The wood undergoes controlled cutting, drying, and stabilization processes designed to maintain dimensional stability and consistent playing characteristics over time.

Traditional Longoni Wooden Joint

Longoni's traditional wooden joint is a system first introduced by Longoni in the 1960s when the company began producing two-piece cues for carom and five-pins billiards. Developed from the concept of classic French "Jolie" cues, the Longoni wooden joint has since become one of the company's defining features.

Longoni's wooden joint is engineered to provide a firm and precise connection while preserving the natural sensation of a one-piece cue. Compared with a metal joint, it provides a smoother hit, greater flexibility, and excellent feedback to the player at ball contact.

Originally manufactured entirely by hand, Longoni wooden joints have been produced with precision CNC machinery since 2000. Multiple control points are used during production to verify both butt and shaft threads, helping ensure a precise lock and interchangeability. Specialized gauges provide additional quality control, while final polishing and inspection remain in the hands of experienced Longoni craftsmen.

Designed for 3-Cushion Carom

The E71 Eiffel shaft configuration is designed specifically for 3-cushion carom billiards, where precision, controlled power, spin, and consistent feedback are essential.

Its 70.5 cm length, Eiffel 71 profile, 12 mm Da Vinci Medium tip, 7 mm ferrule, and traditional wooden joint create a configuration suited to the demanding shot-making requirements of 3-cushion play.

The Ginevra XV butt measures approximately 72 cm and weighs approximately 370 g. Combined with the 125–130 g E71 shaft, the complete cue weighs approximately 495–500 g. The butt weight can also be easily adjusted using weight bolts from the Longoni Weight Bolt Kit, allowing the player to fine-tune the overall cue weight and feel to personal preference.

Together, the Ginevra XV butt and E71 shaft create a complete Longoni carom cue combining classic natural woods, Italian craftsmanship, advanced HEXA-CORE construction, traditional wooden-joint feel, and one of Longoni's most popular shaft profiles for 3-cushion play.
